Established in the heart of Palm Springs since 1973, Le Vallauris located at the foot of San Jacinto Mountains has been the highest rated restaurant in the Palm Springs Valley since its inception. Owned and operated by the well known restaurateur Paul Bruggemans who was also owner of the Famous Le St Germain restaurant in Hollywood. The Historic Landmark was built in 1927 and was owned by the owners of the famous Desert Inn which was The hotel in the Valley. Many grand parties were held in the house for guests such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and many more. It was a favorite place for General Patton when he was based in Palm Springs to stage the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. Later on, when the restaurant was established it became a favorite place for Presidents and the Hollywood elite. The renowned Patio lined with Giant Fichus trees is THE place to dine. The Patio is cooled in the Summer and heated in the Winter.

Beautiful, delicious food! We enjoyed the fixed Christmas menu, reminding us of France, with appetizer, main, and dessert. If you enjoy excellent service with French flair, an extensive wine list, and cozy white linen tablecloth ambiance, this is for you. Worth the price, especially for special occasions. Outside seating is inviting and perfect for the desert. Looking forward to our next visit.

Yes, they are open for Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner you definitely want to call and make reservations early.

I have never seen any pets.

It took us a week to get ours

We dress nice but casual. No jacket needed, and not comfortable when it's warm on the patio. I would probably wear a sport coat in cool weather. I've seen jeans but most wear nicer trousers.
